The Autumn/Winter 2011 collections – Original Comfort, Wood Fashion, and Heritage – offer an interpretation of Denmark’s beautiful culture with the use of organic elements, textiles and patterns derived from nature. The vision of nature in design and dedication to craftsmanship and heritage are key elements of Sanita.

Sanita is recognized for continually providing quality product with integrity. Sanita’s Original Collection has been proudly awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association. In an effort to maintain their heritage’s integrity, Sanita’s suppliers have partnered with The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and plant a new tree in place of each tree that is milled or utilized in their wooden outsoles.
This season’s collections highlight the beauty of Denmark’s culture while presenting Sanita’s interpretations of today’s top fashion trends with influences from around the world and comfort at the core. Within the three collections are four distinctive themes that play on various styles and trends:
Forest Life
Designed with an interpretation of the beauty nature has to offer, Forest Life captures the look of organic and natural resources. A majestic mood that rediscovers the styles and silhouettes from the 1950’s and early 60’s, these functional styles offer a refined elegance. Shades of green create a serene mood alongside a foundation of dark brown to create depth.
Tailored Nature
Tailored Nature focuses on classic styles with a strong minimalistic expression. Clean lines and the neutral color pallet are inspired by nature’s basic elements. The warm shades of walnut, camel, brown and grey resemble classic Danish furniture design.
Fairytale Utopia
Inspired by the femininity of vintage patterns from Bohemian and Old Persia Universes, Fairytale Utopia executes beauty with soft whimsical line and bold color. Beautiful hues of red, such as Persian red, Bordeaux and red pink are influential, while offset with a feminine accent of vintage violet and a neutral pallet of dark brown and camel. This romantic elegance can only be found in fairytales.
Nordic Cowboy
Countryside meets the City in Nordic Cowboy. Inspired by a combination of cultural elements that stem from Nordic Folk, South America and Old Western influences, this collection is a balance between ethnic patterns and prints with modern design and flare. This theme takes Western to a new level with youth inspiration and a Grunge twist. Red flows through the collection with a combination of brown or denim blue shades, followed by dark green and golden yellow accents. Violet adds an unexpected element of freshness.
