Danielle Gano is the founder and CEO of Elle Communications, a communications boutique with offices in Los Angeles and New York that represents impact clientele. The agency offers media relations, talent relations, communications strategy, media training and other services to non-profit, social enterprise, and CSR organizations, as well as other creative and business leaders. Some of the organizations Danielle has worked on at Elle include Invisible Children, UNICEF, Bright Pink, I AM THAT GIRL, World Vision, Not For Sale, MusiCares, SurfAid, Omaze, The Paradigm Project, BULLDOG DRUMMOND, Raven + Lily, Sseko Designs, The Giving Keys, KAMMOK, MiiR, Project 7 and This Bar Saves Lives. Danielle received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Art History from San Diego State University in 2006 and her Masters in Business Administration from National University in 2008. She currently serves on the UNICEF NextGen Steering Committee in Los Angeles, The White House’s Creative Coalition and Clinton Foundation’s 20/30 Leadership Council. She also serves as a mentor for Creative Visions and Praxis Labs. In her free time, Danielle enjoys running marathons, practicing yoga, traveling and adventuring outdoors with her Weimaraner, Sir Weylin Von Barrington.

Emily Burkle is the Managing Partner at Elle Communications and in her four years with the agency, has helped shape it as a leading, dynamic communications boutique that represents impact clientele that are changing the world. In addition to directing strategy for both the Los Angeles and New York offices, she’s helped build a unique and progressive company culture. Emily has worked with several Elle clients including Omaze, Invisible Children, MiiR, Project 7, The Honor Foundation, Bright Pink, Starlight Children’s Foundation, and more. Previous to her position at Elle, Emily worked as an Account Supervisor at Charles Communications, representing brands in the food and wine space, with a specialty in sustainability. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with an emphasis in Writing from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s in Marketing from INSEEC Grande Ecole du Commerce in Bordeaux, France. Emily volunteers her time with the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and Catholic Charities of America and is active in politics and military relations. Emily also enjoys adventures around the world with her husband, cooking and sampling new cuisines, catching an occasional opera, hiking with her cat, Boo Kitten, and spending time with her growing family.

Megan is a Senior Account Strategist at Elle Communications. Prior to working at Elle, Megan was a publicist at Jarvis Communications and Mannfolk PR. Megan received her bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and International Studies at Indiana University Bloomington. When she’s not following up on emails or scheduling a meeting, you can find Megan traveling the world (up next: Bora Bora), hiking in Griffith Park, making up songs about her favorite foods or reading a good book.

Kristen is a Senior Account Strategist at Elle Communications. She’s helped with strategy and securing press placements for multiple projects at Elle, including Pons, Raven + Lily, Sseko Designs, Sudara, The Giving Keys, Kenna, Omaze, No Subject and Soko. Kristen received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development at UCSD and played four years of collegiate soccer, winning two national championships during her time there. Prior to working at Elle, Kristen was worked alongside Linlee Allen opening the first ever US Vanessa Bruno store, worked with The Standard Hotels and CLOSED, also known as the J Crew of Germany. In her free time, Kristen enjoys being creative, running her fashion blog Style Wax Poetic, finding undiscovered music artists and exploring Los Angeles with her pup Chloe.

Delilah Owens is a Senior Account Strategist at Elle Communications. Prior to Elle Communications she lead pr account work for Carol Leggett Public Relations, lead social media for CV Skinlabs, was a marketing assistant for Citi Habitats Luxury Realty and interned with Tractenberg & Co. as well as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. She has garnered top tier press for clients in such outlets as Condénast Traveler, Women’s Wear Daily, Wired, Inc., Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Harper’s Bazaar and The New York Times. Delilah has worked with Kammok, UPTOGOOD.org, UNICEF, Made In A Free World, Enrou.co, 31bits and CatalystCreativ. She holds a B.A. in Public Relations and a B.A. in Dance Performance from Hofstra University where she graduated with honors. When she’s not snacking on popcorn you can find this movie buff perusing Netflix, traveling, catching a dance class at Broadway Dance Center or decompressing at the gym. Jessica McAlister is the Influencer Strategy Manager for Elle Communications in the Los Angeles office. At Elle, Jessica leads the celebrity division working to integrate and develop impactful relationships with celebrities and influencers with brands and organizations such as Bright Pink, FASHIONABLE, UNICEF, MiiR, Akola Project, St. John’s Well Child Clinic, Made In A Free World, Kiss The Ground, The Giving Keys, Parcel & Journey and various national and international cause campaigns. With her boundless passion and expertise in entertainment and pop culture, Jessica brings over 7 years of experience in the celebrity engagement, fashion, and brand partnerships space. In her free time, if she is not busy eating at a new restaurant or cooking at home, you can find her on a golf course or the driving range perfecting her game, checking out a new art exhibit or hanging out at the beach. Jessica is a part of or supports various organizations like the Clinton Foundation’s 20/30 initiative, UNICEF Next Generation, The Honor Foundation and the UDT Seal Association – West Coast.

Prior to working at Elle, Cory was a publicist at Fashion PR Agency bluPRint and boutique PR firm Rachel Meis Communications. In her free time, Cory enjoys hikes with her new puppy Rothko, thrifting for vintage jewelry for her Etsy shop ‘Lady Sargeant’ and hosting DIY parties. Lily is an Account Strategist at Elle Communications Los Angeles office. Since her start at Elle she has represented a multitude of clients in the social impact space including Bright Pink, St. John’s Well Child & Family Center, Sudara, Slumlove, Saatchi Art, The UT.LAB, The Verizon Foundation, Create + Cultivate and one-for-one music artist Kenna. She has also supported Elle’s philanthropic initiatives and talent relations for UNICEF’s annual masquerade ball. Prior to Elle, Lily was the Director of Marketing for the Gold’s Gym Southern California Group and implemented marketing strategies across 12 health clubs in the franchise and championed the “Press for the Chest” campaign, in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, to raise $23,000 in the month of October. Lily received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge in 2011. A native Angelino and pit bull advocate, Lily is a lover of the culinary arts, music and Netflix documentaries.
Julianne is a Junior Publicist at Elle Communications. She has helped secure press for many different projects at all including Pons Avarcas, St. John’s Well Child & Family Center, Classic Journeys, Grow Marketing, CatalystCreativ, Sudara, and Enrou. Before she found Elle Communications, Julianne worked at Original Retro Brand, where she helped with internal communications. Julianne received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations at the University of Southern California in 2011. In the last few years, Julianne has traveled to Europe, South America, and New Zealand. In her free time, she enjoys everything outdoors - running, hiking, golfing, climbing, yoga, concerts, traveling, and more. Her favorite thing to do is hike in Griffith Park to the Observatory and spend time with her friends and family.
Ashley McCulley is a Strategist at Elle Communications in Los Angeles, where she represents a number of social impact clients, including The Honor Foundation, MiiR, UNICEF and St. John's Well Child & Family Center. Prior to joining Elle, Ashley worked with Make-A-Wish America, the Phoenix Zoo, and NASA. Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School. In her free time, Ashley enjoys hiking, reading a good book, collecting too many plants, and spending time with her family and her two cats, Edwin and Scherbatsky.
Rosetta is a Strategist at Elle Communications. She’s also assisted with timely philanthropic initiatives including Kiss The Ground’s “The Soil Story” and UNICEF’s annual masquerade ball. Prior to Elle, Rosetta lived in Paris, where she studied French and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a Psychology Minor from The American University of Paris. She’s passionate about traveling, the arts, and helping others. Rosetta is an avid user of online funding platforms -- including GoFundMe and KickStarter, to support marginalized families, as well as education, art, and health initiatives.
Emma is the Executive Assistant for Elle Communications in Los Angeles. While she is new to the PR world, she is thrilled to be learning from the incredible ladies at Elle and to be witnessing the enormous impact of their work. Emma is a sophomore at Scripps College, where she plans to major in Humanities with an emphasis in Sociology. She is also an intern at I Am That Girl, where she is working to shift girl culture one kind, supportive, and empowering word at a time. A Pacific Northwest girl at heart, Emma loves exploring the hiking trails and beaches of Southern California, sailing, and doing yoga. She also enjoys reading romance novels and spending time with her family, her dog Cooper, and her two cats, Charlotte and Frankie.
